On the heartfelt occasion of Parents Day, members of The Rotary Club of Durgapur Central visited the ABHAYASHRAM , an Old Age Home , a shelter for urban homeless at Bidhannagar on 27th July 2025 noon to honour and celebrate the wisdom and love of the elderly residents. The day was marked by warm interactions, emotional bonding, and heartfelt conversations as Rotarians spent quality time with the senior citizens, listening to their life stories, sharing laughter, and offering companionship that truly brightened their day. As a token of love and care, the Rotarians served nutritious meals, sweets, and distributed essential daily items to all the inmates. The initiative not only brought smiles to the faces of the elderly but also reinforced the Rotary spirit of compassion and service above self. The visit served as a reminder that our elders are living treasures who deserve our time, respect, and gratitude—not just on special days, but every day.
