Fellowship & President Citation awards:: The 911th Regular Weekly Meeting of Rotary Year 2025-26 was held with much warmth and camaraderie on 28th June 2026 at Peerless Inn . The evening marked the culmination of a remarkable year, as President Rtn Mantaar Singh conducted the last meeting of RY 2025-26. The highlight of the evening was the President’s Citation Award Ceremony. In a heartfelt gesture, President Rtn Mantaar Singh felicitated every member of Rotary Club of Durgapur Central with an individual memento-citation, acknowledging their dedicated service, support, and contributions throughout the year. The recognition brought smiles and pride to all recipients, making it a truly memorable send-off to RY 2025-26’s Board. Gracing the stage alongside the President were Rtn Chhagan Patel, Treasurer, and Rtn Biren Mondal, Secretary, who stood by him in leading the Club to an impactful year. The formal proceedings were followed by Dinner & Fellowship, enjoyed by all members.

905th RWM held on 10/04/26

905th RWM was held on 10th April 26 at Peerless Inn . our Hony member Shri Pradip Majumdar, Honble MInister of WB and Shri Kabi Dutta Charter member of our Club were also present. Members from other Rotary Clubs of Durgapur, Rotary Club of Ukhra and Inner Wheel Clubs were also present as they were specially invited on this occasion. For the first time in Durgapur we have organised a meeting in which members from other Rotary Clubs & Inner Wheel Clubs were invited for better coordination amongst each other for the betterment of Rotary as a whole.

First Jt Dist Environment Seminar on 15-3-26

The Rotary Club of Durgapur Central in association with the Rotary Club of Durgapur Elite successfully hosted the First District Environment Seminar on 15th March 2026 afternoon with the theme “PRAKRITIH – Building Towards a Greener Future.” The seminar brought together Rotarians, environmental experts, and delegates from different parts of the district to discuss pressing environmental challenges and sustainable solutions. The seminar was graced by distinguished Rotary leaders including Dr. Asim Kanti Adhikary, District Governor Elect (DGE), Dr. Pallavi Maji, District Governor Nominee Designate (DGND), Past District Governor Shyamsree Sen, and Past District Governor Ashok Agarwal, who participated in an engaging panel discussion on “From Eradicating Polio to Environmental Action.” The discussion highlighted how Rotary’s success in the global fight against polio can inspire collective action toward environmental protection.

77th Republic Day celebration by RC DC

Members of Rotary Club of Durgapur Central attended the 77th Republic Day celebration at Teresa Model School in Durgapur on 26th January 26 and took part in the flag hosting ceremony. Rotarian Mantaar Singh, President and Ann Shilpi Singh, Rotarian T K Dutta , President Elect, Rotarian Indranil Mukherjee , Rotarian Umesh Sharma, Rotarian Sandeep Roy , Rotarian Rajesh Chopra and Rotarian Santosh Maheshwari were present at School to mark this occasion. Visiting rotarians also distributed sweets and food packets to the students and teachers of the school . Students presented various patriotic songs and drills etc which was appreciated by one and all present there .

Get Together and Fellowship held at Farm house

Rotary Club of Durgapur Centrals family get-together held on 25th January 26 was a blast. Held at a picturesque farmhouse near Deul- Bankoti village near Durgapur the event kicked off with an official meeting of club members, followed by fun games and warm fellowship. Rotarians and their families came together to unwind, connect, and soak in the natural beauty of the farmhouse. The gathering aimed to strengthen Rotary camaraderie and discuss next steps for ongoing projects. This will binds the relations within Rotarians to perform for the betterment of R C Durgapur Central.

Felicitation attended at Nepali Para High school Club Service

Felicitation attended at Nepali Para High school

Members of the Rotary Club of Durgapur Central attended the felicitation ceremony of Nepali Para Hindi High school in Durgapur today on 2nd August 2025. Rtn Ashok Chandak, Rtn Santosh Maheshwari, Rtn Mantaar Singh, Rtn Biren Mondal & Rtn Deepak Kajaria were present on this occasion. The students who secured highest marks and secured positions in High school examination were provided with citation, mementos and cash awards. Sri Pradip Majumdar, honble MLA was also present during this ceremony and gave away the certificate and cash award to best student who secured top in mathematics of school. Principal of Nepali Para Hindi High school along with officials were present on this occasion. It is recalled that Rotary Club of Durgapur Central had provided various facilities from their side for upliftment of infrastructure in the Nepali Para Hindi High school for the betterment of education system in Durgapur and are still continuing their association with them.
