The Rotary Club of Durgapur Central observed World Environment Day during its dinner & fellowship meet on 5th June 2026 with a focus on sustainability and collective responsibility. Rtn Atanu Mukherjee, Environment Chair of the club, delivered an insightful speech on practical ways to protect the environment. He highlighted simple daily actions like, reducing plastic use, conserving water and energy, and promoting tree plantation which can create meaningful impact. Rtn Mukherjee also explained the concept of carbon credit and how individuals and organizations can contribute to lowering their carbon footprint.
