The Rotary Club of Durgapur Central celebrated International Womens Day at Vaishno Devi Mandir premises, near 54 foot in Durgapur on 8th March 2026 evening. Eleven women from diverse fields were honoured with certificates and mementos for their outstanding contributions. The women, selected by an independent panel, represented art & culture, entrepreneurship, academia, social work, and healthcare. The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Kabi Dutta, Chairman of Asansol Durgapur Development Authority. Rotarian Mantaar Singh, President, and members of the Rotary Club of Durgapur Central attended, aiming to recognise womens achievements and inspire others to contribute to a more inclusive society. A large number of gathering was there to witness this event.
